  • Colds are actually not in medical terms. Some people believe that colds occur when too much wind enters the body. Colds can occur due to too much swallowing air when talking, swallowing, eating, or laughing, which in medical terms is called aerophagia. This condition is almost similar to an ulcer. Symptoms can include frequent belching that is several times a minute, flatulence, and abdominal pain.
  • Enzyme deficiency

  • In addition to heartburn, flatulence can also be caused by a deficiency of digestive enzymes. The function of enzymes is to help the food processing process into smaller particles so that nutrients are easily absorbed by the body. When your body temperature rises or you have a fever, the function of digestive enzymes can be less than optimal. In addition, the production and effectiveness of digestive enzymes can also be hampered if the body experiences pancreatic disorders, or intolerance of certain foods or drinks, for example lactose intolerance. Flatulence due to problems with enzymes can also be caused by eating too much so that the amount of enzymes is insufficient, smoking habits, alcohol consumption, and stress.
Flatulence can usually improve on its own and is not caused by a serious condition. However, flatulence needs to be watched especially if accompanied by other symptoms, such as abdominal pain that does not heal, stool mixed with blood or blackish color, high fever, vomiting, and weight loss without apparent cause. How to Overcome Bloated Stomach

The following are some ways to overcome flatulence that you can easily do independently:
  • It is recommended not to eat too much too fast, and chew food until it is completely destroyed.
  • Avoid chewing gum too often, eating while talking, and drinking using a straw.
  • Avoid foods and drinks that can produce excess gas, such as cabbage, beans, and soft drinks.
  • If you can't digest lactose properly, choose dairy products that don't contain lactose.
  • Take probiotics.
  • Quit smoking.
  • If you use dentures, use the right size to prevent air from entering between your teeth and gums.
In addition to the above methods, you can also overcome flatulence with natural ingredients. For example, peppermint is believed to relieve digestive disorders, ginger to treat stomach ulcers and bloating, turmeric which can also be used to treat stomach aches and heartburn, and the enzyme bromelain in pineapple that can reduce complaints of flatulence.
